Adnan Sen Honored with the Ellis Island Medal of Honor

Adnan Sen, founder of Bosphorus Gaz Corporation A.S., was honored with the Ellis Island Medal of Honor in 2022 for both his professional accomplishments in a diverse array of fields and his commitment to philanthropy – with a particular focus on the Alp Sen Foundation, supporting youth health and education.

Since first being presented in 1986, the Ellis Island Medal of Honor is one of the most prestigious awards in the United States. Officially recognized by both Houses of Congress, the award’s recipients are read into the Congressional Record each year.

To date, eight U.S. Presidents, including Ronald Reagan and Joe Biden, along with countless distinguished persons from the worlds of art, sports, and science, including Muhammed Ali, Nobel Laureate Malala Yousafzai and former Chairman & CEO of the Coca Cola Company Muhtar Kent, have all been awarded this prestigious medal.

Half Turkish and half Danish entrepreneur Adnan Sen, who was honored with his medal at the event held on Ellis Island on May 12th, was accompanied by his family and close friends at the ceremony.
